Competitions are decided in the last week. Producing images yourself means a facade change three days before the deadline stays possible.
In short
A competition board carries three images: the building in its real surroundings, an eye-level perspective from the main viewpoint, and a section or interior that explains the idea. Producing them yourself changes the schedule more than the quality: the design can still move while the images are already being made.

A section perspective or interior that carries the concept.
Resolution for boards
Pixels = centimetres ÷ 2.54 × dpi. An A0 board in landscape at 150 dpi needs about 7020 × 4966 pixels, so a half-width image needs roughly 3500 pixels — 4K covers that, 8K leaves headroom.
Check the brief: many competitions prescribe scales, board formats and sometimes the viewpoints and even the date and time for the sun.
The last week
Set the camera positions as soon as the volume stands, even while the facade is open. Then a material change is a new image, not a new order.
Keep one image dominant per board. In the first round juries scan; what is not readable in seconds does not exist.

What resolution does an A0 board need?
About 7020 × 4966 pixels at 150 dpi for the full board. A half-width image needs roughly 3500 pixels.
Are AI-assisted images allowed?
That depends on the brief. Some procedures ask how images were produced. State the route when nothing is prescribed.
Can we change the design late?
Yes. Camera, sun and materials are settings, so a new set of images takes minutes rather than a new commission.
